Susan (Loretta Long) and an orange Oscar the Grouch in the first season 0f “Sesame Street.”

Happy Birthday Sesame Street! Oscar, Big Bird, and the gang debuted on November 10, 1969. Those kids with Oscar and Susan are all hitting 50 now!

The 70′s brought some great Sesame Street toys to the market that have since become highly collectible. The Muppet Wiki has some great photos of the Fisher Price Little People Playsets featuring the Sesame Street.

In 1999 the post office included a Big Bird stamp in their ‘Celebrate the Century-1970′s’ set. Old stamp sets like these can be found on eBay and other auction sites. The nice thing about collecting uncirculated stamps is that when times are tough you can always use them as postage!

This just came out from Warner Bros as a teaser to get folks excited about the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Blu-Ray discs coming out soon- When Harry Left Hogwarts documentary trailer.
The actors mention some of their feelings about moving on from Leavesden Studio., in a separate interview about the studio’s transition into a tourist attraction one of the Weasly actors stated that they could always become tour guides if the acting thing ever dries up.

Update: the 4 disc Blu-Ray from Target is the set that comes with this documentary, not the one I went out and bought.
